Hi! Travelling Lemon Productions is a group of young women creating literary inspired webseries. Transmedia webseries are a new way of storytelling using a variety of social media platforms, primarily YouTube.
Our love for updated classics like The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, The Autobiography of Jane Eyre, and Nothing Much To Do inspired us to make our own. In 2014, friends Alayna Biersdorff, Maeve O'Connell, and Jessamyn Leigh created Project Dashwood, based on Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. We had very little experience with film, but we brought our performing arts experience and learned as we went with everything else. The series wasn't perfect, but we had a lot of fun seeing how our team brought the story to life in new ways.
Fast-forward to 2017 and we are in pre-production for a new series based on Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors entitled Twincidents. Our story team is made up of an incredibly talented group of young women around the globe who've worked on popular LIW such as The Misselthwaite Archives, Northbound, and Away From it All. We look forward to bringing you this modern, genderbent, queer story of mixups, mayhem, romance, and family!
